| I very much doubt its a trap. I have a feeling Splugg is an excellent judge of character.

| For those who think it's a trap, what do you expect?
Gnolls?
Duergar?
Gnolls with miniature duergar in their mouths, so every time they bark they shoot duergar at you?

| I retract my previous statement. It could definitely be a trap. Is it too early for Mind Flayers? Would be funny if we could hear some brain slurping. | |

And the duergar, in mid-air, will shoot beard quills at you. Wonderful. I bet the caster would also shoot her vile fumes and brimstone. Wait. Does that mean that if we bloody them, some of them will grow while in transit? What would that mean mechanically? If someone had a bloodying power that was an immediate interrupt, would they be able to choose when (in the pathing of the flying duergar) they execute it?

| I'm going to bet on Duergar with miniature Duergars in their beards. So when they throw their beards at us, it will have a double effect as the miniature Duergars will also throw their miniature beards.
Also, when the "normal" sized Duergars get bloodied, their miniature "beard" Duergars will become normal size (with mini-Duergars in their beards). This will lead to an unending legion of Duergars being spawned to kill us.
The battle will end once Coltaine admits that this whole thing was indeed a trap (which will probably take 15-20 rounds of combat, by which time most of us will be unconscious).

I have this image of mini-duergar riding the beard quills as they fly towards the Drogans. I think this should be made into art.

| It's a trap because Coltaine doesn't think it is, but I don't want it to be a trap because Splugg is awesome. The trap will be Duergar with mini Duergar in their beards, genetically modified mini Duergar so that when their beard quills hit you, you grow welts and instead of puss the welts are filled with vile fumes. | |

| I guess it makes sense in side trek sort of adventure, i just don't see why should they ever again respond to any form of correspondence and not just kill everything in sight xD . In a sense it is good that it was a trap, it will make Drogans more paranoid and distrusting of everyone, which will mean more "sorrow kills suspicious slaves" situations. Those are always fun. | |
